South Brunswick Police Officer Makes Arrest In Pedestrian Hit-Run Crash

An alert South Brunswick officer captured a suspect wanted for seriously injuring a pedestrian in a hit-n-run crash in Pennsylvania.

On Jan. 28, South Brunswick Officer Matthew Hagood was on patrol on Route 1 when he observed a red pickup truck drive by him. The license plate came back as wanted by Bensalem, PA, police in a hit-run crash.

A motor vehicle stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Luke Gendusi,18, of South Brunswick.

Bensalem Police charged Gendusi with Accident Involving Death or Personal Injury (Felony 3), Recklessly Endangering Another Person (Misdemeanor 2), Tampering with Evidence (Misdemeanor 2), and numerous motor vehicle offenses under Pennsylvania law. He was released after posting bail.

South Brunswick Police charged Gendusi with motor vehicle offenses of fictitious license plate, unregistered vehicle, and failure to have insurance.
